The School of Energy and Environment (SEEN) organized a short course training on “Carbon Neutrality Specialist Development for the High-Value Processed Agricultural Industry to Enhance Export Potential of Entrepreneurs” under the New Breed Graduate Production and Competent Workforce Development Project in response to the manufacturing sector’s needs, in line with the policy of reforming Thai higher education in 2025.
This certificate-level course was offered to entrepreneurs and interested students, with a total of 40 participants. The program aimed to enhance knowledge and understanding in carbon footprint planning, assessment, and management, as well as approaches towards achieving carbon neutrality at both organizational and product levels.
The training combined academic lectures with practical exercises and case study reviews, focusing on tangible outcomes such as preparing organizational carbon footprint reports and verification sheets for use in the carbon footprint assessment process.
The program was financially supported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI).
The opening report was delivered by Dr. Wimonrat Sitisara, and the training was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Torpong Kreetachat, Dean of SEEN, at the KM Kwan Phayao Hotel on August 9, 2025.
