On August 29, 2025, the School of Education, University of Phayao, conducted the academic service project “Research Development Using AI as a Tool to Promote Academic Advancement” to enhance local education at the Active Learning room (PY1010), University of Phayao. It was honored by Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the Dean of the School of Education, was the president to opened the project, Assistant Professor Dr. Sunthon Khlai-Um, the Associate Dean for Administration and Student Quality Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Numfon Gunma, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation, Assistant Professor Dr. Watchara Jatuporn, the Associate Dean of Research and Academic Services in Area-based (the respondent of project), Assistant Professor Dr. Lumyai Seehamat, the Head of Doctor of Philosophy and Master of Education Program in Curriculum and Instruction, Assistant Professor Dr. Wilawan Somyaron, the lecturer of the Education Program in Educational Technology, and supporting staff. The training participants consisted of 40 educational personnel involved in educational management at the Phayao Provincial Office for the Promotion of Learning. This training was organized with the objective of enhancing the knowledge and understanding of teachers and educational personnel under the Phayao Provincial Office for the Promotion of Learning in the field of research, aimed at improving the quality of teaching and learning as well as educational innovation. Additionally, it served as a guideline for teachers and educational personnel to develop competencies in research and educational innovation, in line with the goals of the College of Education and aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4: Promote inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities (Quality Education), SDG 9: Promote sustainable industry, innovation, and infrastructure (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17: Strengthen partnerships for sustainable development (Partnerships for the Goals).
Within the project, the following lectures were provided:
A lecture on the topic “Research for Academic Advancement” by Assistant Professor Dr. Numfon Gunma, the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation.
A practical workshop on research design using AI as a tool was conducted by Assistant Professor Dr. Wilawan Somyaron, the lecturer of the Education Program in Educational Technology.
