
On Saturday, May 20, 2023, the Northern Thai University Consortium for Japanese Language-Japanese Studies organized the "1st Annual Meeting of the Northern Thai University Consortium for Japanese Language-Japanese Studies" online via the Zoom program. The meeting was attended by faculty members from the School of Liberal Arts, Department of Japanese Language, including Miss Phanphitchaya Phanyafu, the main course coordinator for the Bachelor of Arts in Japanese Language, Mr. Toshiaki Kanaya, and Dr. Isao Yamaki, the faculty members of the Department of Japanese Language, who served as hosts for the meeting. Representatives from 8 universities in the Northern region and the Japan-Thailand Trade Association in Bangkok also participated in the meeting.
The committee meeting was divided into two sessions. In the morning session, there were activities introducing representatives from each organization, reporting on the progress of activities and the budgets for the year 2023. Subsequently, in the afternoon session, representatives from the member universities discussed the management and administration of the consortium's Facebook page to enhance its effectiveness. They also discussed the selection of the consortium's logo and appointed a committee to oversee the mentioned activities budget allocation of the consortium for the year 2023.
