School of Liberal Arts Organizes Workshop on “Play-based Learning Techniques”

for Border Patrol Police Teachers from Insee Asa Learning Center (Ban Huai Pum)

     The School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phitsinee Sathientharadol, Deputy Dean for Administration, together with Dr. Chanapa Daungfai, Deputy Dean for Special Affairs, and a team of researchers, organized a hands-on training workshop titled “Play-based Learning Techniques” for teachers from the Border Patrol Police Learning Center, Insee Asa (Ban Huai Pum). The workshop, held at De One D Hotel in Chiang Kham District, Phayao Province, was part of the university’s “One Faculty, One SDG” initiative.

     The program began with a focus group session to exchange perspectives on language teaching and learning development in rural school settings. This was followed by a workshop on the principles and practices of Play-based Learning, led by Dr. Chansak Siengyen. The session emphasized the use of play as an effective tool for enhancing English language acquisition among students.

     In the afternoon, participants engaged in group-based practical training activities, including live demonstrations of lesson planning and classroom instruction using Play-based Learning strategies. These interactive sessions provided participants with the opportunity to experiment with newly introduced techniques, equipping them to apply these approaches in their own classrooms.
