UP Signs MOU to Advance AI Talent and Future Technology Development
    


On Tuesday, July 28, 2025,Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongbangpho, President of the University of Phayao,participated in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony with King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB) and various public and private sector partners. The purpose of this ceremony was to promote workforce development in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and future technologies.

Key partners in the MOU include Inspur Cloud Information Technology Co., Ltd. from the People’s Republic of China, along with four prominent Thai AI companies: SIAM AI Corporation Co., Ltd., AI Solution Base Co., Ltd., Fuse One Co., Ltd., and Green Flow Development Co., Ltd. The signing was held at the Ratchaphruek Meeting Room, Navamindrarachini Building, KMUTNB, and was honored by the presence of Professor Emeritus Atchapol Yaisawang, Chair of the University of Phayao Council.

This strategic partnership aims to enhance Thailand’s educational and technological infrastructure by developing AI and cloud computing capabilities. It aligns with the University of Phayao’s mission as a community-focused institution that leverages modern technologies to improve education, research, and social development in a sustainable manner.

The collaboration focuses on knowledge exchange, joint innovation, and hands-on learning opportunities, empowering students with the future-ready skills demanded by the digital economy. It is a significant step toward building a resilient, high-tech workforce and fostering academic-industry synergy for national progress.
