On Friday, August 29, 2025, Associate Professor Supakorn Pongbangpho, Ph.D. President, University of Phayao, presided over the opening of a legal training project on ethics, morality, and transparency in public agencies. The event, titled “The Evolution of Government Procurement towards Modern Management under the Principles of Good Governance,” was held at the Borworn Rattaprasit Meeting Room, University of Phayao.

The project was organized with the aim of promoting and enhancing understanding of government procurement regulations to ensure all personnel can perform their duties correctly and strictly in accordance with the law. The university was honored to have Mr. Thanachok Rungthipanon, Director of the Government Procurement and Central Price Division at the Comptroller General's Department, serve as the expert speaker. He shared valuable knowledge, experience, and best practices to enable participants to apply these principles effectively in their work. The training was attended by over 100 executives and staff members of the university.

This initiative aligns with the university's commitment to efficient, transparent, and good governance-based management for organizational sustainability, as outlined in its strategic plan. The procurement process, in particular, is a critical area that reflects an organization’s transparency, value for money, and trustworthiness to all stakeholders. Therefore, providing a thorough understanding of these processes to executives and staff is of utmost importance.

The training is expected to be a significant driving force in modernizing and enhancing the efficiency and transparency of the university’s management system, which will contribute to its stable and sustainable development in the future.
