School of Engineering, University of Phayao, is pleased to announce that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutham Arun has been awarded a grant in recognition of his contribution to the AI-Driven Marketing Strategy Workshop for Innovation Entrepreneurs. This initiative was organized under the Social Innovation Driving Unit (SID) for the Upper Northern Region 2.

The funded project, entitled “Development of a Cocoa Drying Process for Solar Dome Systems Using IoT Technology to Enhance Agricultural Value Creation”, focuses on designing and constructing a standardized greenhouse system for drying cocoa beans after fermentation. The greenhouse is engineered to provide effective ventilation while ensuring precise control of temperature and humidity. Moreover, the system enables real-time monitoring of these parameters via display screens and mobile applications, thereby enhancing process accuracy and consistency. As a result, the dried cocoa beans produced meet standardized quality benchmarks, improving both yield and overall product quality.

This grant was awarded under the Social Enterprise Promotion Program for Health and Well-being 2025, hosted by the Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer, University of Phayao, from 31 August – 1 September 2025 at the Muang Phayao Conference Room, Information and Communication Technology Building, University of Phayao.

The achievement represents another significant milestone for the School of Engineering, University of Phayao, in advancing research and social innovation. It further highlights the strategic integration of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) into marketing practices—empowering new-generation entrepreneurs and fostering sustainable, positive impacts on local communities and society at large.
