September 5, 2025 – The University of Phayao (UP) and Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU) have formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic collaboration, particularly in the development of the Bachelor of Physical Therapy Program at Dhurakij Pundit University, scheduled to commence in the academic year 2026.
The ceremony was attended by Associate Professor Supakorn Pongbangpho, Ph.D.President, University of Phayao, together with Assistant Professor Puttipong Poncumhak , Ph.D.Dean, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao, and Dr. Darika Lathapipat, President of Dhurakij Pundit University, along with executives from both institutions. The signing took place at the Sompop Hotrakitya Meeting Room, Office of the President Building, Dhurakij Pundit University.
Under the agreement, the University of Phayao’s School of Allied Health Sciences will serve as a mentor institution, providing support in curriculum development, program management, and teaching and learning processes. The collaboration aims to ensure the quality and standards of the new program, while preparing graduates with the knowledge and skills required to meet future healthcare needs.
The MoU demonstrates the shared commitment of both institutions to advancing higher education in physical therapy, producing qualified graduates, and contributing to the development of Thailand’s healthcare and public health systems.
