School of Science Champions Sustainability with Circular Tower Workshop for Community Development
    
The School of Science organized an innovative "Circular Tower: Eco-Friendly Wet Waste Bin" workshop on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the Multi-Purpose Building, Moo 11, Mae Na Ruea Subdistrict, Mueang District, Phayao Province, promoting SDG 15: Life on Land and sustainable development practices.
Associate Professor Dr. Sittisak Pinmongkhonkul, Dean of the School of Science, officially opened the event and participated as a workshop instructor, joined by:
• Assistant Professor Dr. Reungruthai Sirirak, Vice Dean for Research and Innovation
• Dr. Patcharin Tangchaisuriya, Vice Dean for Student Development and Student Relations
• Dr. Niyom Hongsith, Physics Department School Member
• School of Science Students
The hands-on workshop equipped community members with practical knowledge to create circular tower composting systems, transforming organic waste into valuable resources. This initiative directly supports environmental conservation and reduces greenhouse gas emissions at the community level.
This workshop is part of the " Community Model Development Project for Greenhouse Gas Reduction with Science and Technology " project, under the Reinventing University Program – a strategic initiative by the University of Phayao for institutional excellence and advanced human resource development, fiscal year 2025.
The School of Science remains committed to translating scientific knowledge into actionable community solutions, fostering environmental stewardship, and empowering local communities to achieve sustainable development goals.
