administers AI-powered English proficiency testing aligned with CEFR standards
The Language Center, School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, led by Dr. Chanapha Duangfai, Vice Dean for Special Affairs, organized an English proficiency assessment for 1,052 University of Phayao students using an AI-powered English Assessment System to evaluate students’ proficiency levels based on the international CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. This assessment forms part of the ongoing enhancement of English General Education courses. The AI system evaluates multiple language skill areas—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while generating detailed, individualized performance reports for each student. In addition to the AI-based assessment, students also receive access to personalized English learning programs, designed to support effective language learning and address individual learner needs more precisely.
