On June 27, 2025, the School of Political and Social Science, University of Phayao, in collaboration with its Student Union, proudly participated in the “Coming of Age Coming of Pride 2025” event, organized by the University of Phayao Student Council. Held under the theme “Be Your True Color,” the event aimed to promote gender diversity, inclusivity, and the right to equal expression for all.
This year, the School’s parade was honored by the participation of Associate Professor Dr. Montra Pongnil, Dean of the School, along with administrators, faculty members, student leaders from all academic programs, and students from the School of Liberal Arts. The parade was further supported by Amnesty International Thailand, which provided Pride flags, scarves, and advocacy banners promoting gender equality.
The School’s parade stood out with its vibrant costumes, music, and artistic elements, creatively expressing identity, confidence, and the beauty of gender diversity. This dynamic and inclusive representation earned the School First Prize in the Parade Category for 2025.
The event marked a significant step in supporting Sustainable Development Goal 5 (SDG 5): Gender Equality, highlighting the crucial role of educational institutions in creating safe, empowering, and inclusive spaces for all identities.
