Staff, and Students from School of Science Conduct Forest Conservation at Mae Na Ruea Watershed and Collect Environmental Research Data

On Saturday, February 14, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Sitthisak Pinmongkhonkul, Dean of the School of Science, University of Phayao, led faculty members, staff, students from the Biology program, and students from the School of Science to the watershed forest area of Mae Na Ruea Reservoir, Mae Na Ruea Subdistrict, Phayao Province, under the Ecology Volunteer Project and the Science Go Green Project.
This field trip aimed to conserve natural resources and collect data for research purposes, with the following key activities:
1. Activities to survey and record data on trees in the watershed forest area, to be used in assessing the potential for carbon dioxide absorption and sequestration of the forest ecosystem.
2. Activities to collect samples and study the biodiversity of aquatic insects, which are important bioindicators for assessing water quality and the health of aquatic ecosystems.
3. Activities to collect waste and remove garbage from the forest area, to preserve the integrity of the ecosystem and the beauty of nature.

These activities reflect the integration of teaching and learning, research, and academic services, while instilling environmental conservation awareness in students, to develop a new generation of scientists who are socially and environmentally responsible in a sustainable manner.
