“Learning Through Real-World Experience in the Global Arena”: Students from the School of Business and Communication Arts Participate in the CWIE Prog
    

The School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, extends its congratulations to five fourth-year students from the Bachelor of Arts Program in Tourism and Hotel. who have been awarded scholarships in Chinese language and culture under the academic collaboration between the University of Phayao and Chongqing University of Technology, People’s Republic of China, as well as Guilin Institute of Information Technology.

The students have also been selected to participate in the Cooperative and Work Integrated Education (CWIE) Program in Chongqing, China, for a period of two academic semesters. The participating students are as follows:

1. Ms. Napassorn Khumnok — Internship placement at InterContinental Chongqing Raffles City

2. Ms. Namfon Jankorn — Internship placement at The Westin Chongqing Liberation Square

3. Ms. Pranpreeya Charee — Internship placement at The Westin Chongqing Liberation Square

4. Ms. Pattaraporn Charoensuk — Internship placement at Hyatt Regency Chongqing

5. Mr. Thanakorn Yuekyen — Internship placements at Hyatt Regency Chongqing and Banyan Tree Yangshuo

This initiative reflects the School’s commitment to experiential and internationally oriented education by providing students with opportunities to gain practical experience in globally recognized hospitality establishments. Through participation in the program, students are able to enhance their professional competencies, language proficiency, intercultural communication skills, and adaptability within multicultural working environments, all of which are essential qualifications for the contemporary tourism and hospitality industry.

In addition, the internship experience enables students to strengthen critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, and professional communication skills through direct engagement with international hospitality operations. Such experiences serve as a significant foundation for preparing graduates to meet the demands of the global labor market and to pursue professional careers in the international service sector.

The ongoing academic collaboration between the School of Business and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, and higher education institutions in the People’s Republic of China demonstrates a shared commitment to academic exchange, professional development, and global learning opportunities. The partnership continues to create valuable international learning experiences for students while contributing to the development of graduates equipped with professional knowledge, practical skills, and global perspectives for sustainable future growth.
