School of Liberal Arts Hosts Personnel Meeting and Internationalization Workshop on Work Permits and Visas for International Staff
The School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Phitsinee Sathientharadol, Associate Dean for Administration and Academic Affairs, recently organized a personnel meeting and Internationalization Workshop. Held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at the School of Liberal Arts Meeting Room (CE14203), the session focused on “Documentation Guidelines for International Staff regarding Work Permit and Visa Extensions.”
The project was designed to enhance understanding of regulations, procedures, and practical guidelines for extending work permits and visas for international personnel, ensuring that document preparation and inter-agency coordination comply accurately with government laws and regulations. This initiative aims to boost operational efficiency and support the University of Phayao’s drive toward internationalization.
The workshop benefited greatly from the expertise of the International Relations Unit, Division of Educational Services, Mr. Prakitpun Pattanahiruntamrong, Head of the International Relations Unit, and Ms. Wanna Sermsook, International Relations Officer, served as guest speakers. They delivered a comprehensive briefing on the criteria, procedures, and documentation processes required for work permit and visa renewals, while also hosting an open Q&A session to address inquiries and share practical insights with participants, thereby promoting efficiency in international human resource management.
Additionally, the program was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phanintra Teeranon, Assistant to the President of the University of Phayao, who delivered a special lecture titled “University Ranking & Internationalization: The Role of International Staff in Driving the University of Phayao toward Global Standards.” Her lecture outlined the university's policies and strategic directions for international development, emphasizing the vital role that international faculty members play in supporting educational missions, research, and academic services. Their contributions serve as a crucial mechanism for fostering international academic collaboration, elevating curriculum standards globally, and enhancing the university's international ranking performance.
