Although graduation marks the completion of formal education, the bonds between the School of Engineering and its alumni remain strong and enduring. The School of Engineering, University of Phayao, is committed to maintaining meaningful relationships with its graduates by providing continuous opportunities for professional development, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning. These initiatives reflect the School’s dedication to fostering a supportive engineering community in which alumni can continue to learn, grow, and advance together throughout their professional journeys.

On October 10–11, 2026, School of Engineering University of Phayao organized a hands-on training workshop entitled “Advanced Construction Project Planning and Management Using Microsoft Project” as part of the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiative facilitated through the Council of Engineers Thailand (COET) network. The workshop welcomed alumni, current students, and other interested participants and was held at the Mueang Phayao Meeting Room (ICT 1247), Information and Communication Technology Building. Lecturer Rittayut Gonthong served as the project coordinator.

Beyond enhancing alumni's professional competencies through targeted upskilling, the workshop provided a valuable opportunity for graduates to reconnect with their alma mater, strengthen professional relationships, and expand collaborative networks within the engineering community. The initiative underscores the School’s philosophy that its responsibility to students extends well beyond graduation. Rather than marking the end of an institutional relationship, graduation represents the beginning of a lifelong partnership through which the School continues to serve as a hub for learning, professional advancement, and mutual support at every stage of its alumni's careers.

The workshop featured Assistant Professor Yutthana Kokking, a specialist in project planning and management using Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Navisworks, who shared his professional expertise and practical experience with participants. The training emphasized the effective application of digital project management tools to enhance construction planning, scheduling, monitoring, and overall project management efficiency, with particular attention to their practical relevance in real-world engineering operations.

This initiative reaffirms the School of Engineering, University of Phayao’s commitment to promoting lifelong learning and cultivating sustainable relationships with its alumni through continuous professional development. It also reflects the School’s belief that alumni are more than former students; they remain valued members of the “University of Phayao Engineering Family.” The School remains dedicated to welcoming its graduates, supporting their professional aspirations, and celebrating their achievements throughout their careers, reinforcing a lasting sense of belonging and a shared commitment to success.
