On Friday, October 16, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanyatip Kharuhayothin, Dean of the School of Business and Communication Arts (BCA), University of Phayao, together with the executive team and academic and support staff, attended a presentation on the vision and management strategies of the candidate for the position of President of the University of Phayao for the 2027–2031 term. The event was held at the Mueang Phayao Meeting Room, University of Phayao.

The presentation featured one candidate, Prof. Dr. Samer Thanoy, who outlined six key strategies for the university's future development. His vision emphasized developing a learning ecosystem for people of all ages, offering flexible academic programmes that respond to learners' needs, strengthening artificial intelligence (AI) skills, advancing research and innovation at the international level, and fostering collaboration with local communities and various sectors to promote sustainable regional and social development.

The presentation formed part of the university's presidential selection process and was also broadcast online, providing members of the university community with an opportunity to learn about the candidate's vision and proposed directions for the university's future development. The selection process will proceed to the next stage of consideration in accordance with the university's established procedures.
