On January 9, 2024, the School of Energy and Environment – SEEN, University of Phayao – UP, organized a New Year merit-making activity and a ceremony to uphold traditional customs and culture according to the beliefs of the Lanna region. The purpose was to renew and purify one's life by removing negativity, as well as to inspire and encourage participants. The event was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Torpong Kreetachat, the dean, along with SEEN members, staff, and students, with over a hundred of people.
After the ceremony, the student activities included providing scholarship funds to deserving students and a lucky draw for New Year gifts supported by the SEEN's administrators, members, and staff for the participating students. The going on was filled with joy, enthusiasm, and authenticity.
วันที่ 9 มกราคม 2567 คณะพลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา จัดกิจกรรมทำบุญปีใหม่คณะ และพิธีสืบชะตาตามขนบธรรมเนียมประเพณีและสืบสานวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามตามความเชื่อแบบล้านนา เพื่อการต่ออายุปัดเป่าสิ่งที่ไม่ดีออกจากชีวิต รวมถึงการปลุกขวัญกำลังใจแก่ผู้ร่วมพิธี โดยมี รศ.ดร.ต่อพงศ์ กรีธาชาติ คณบดี พร้อมด้วย คณาจารย์ เจ้าหน้าที่ และนิสิตเข้าร่วมกว่าร้อยชีวิต
หลังจากพิธีทำบุญปีใหม่ งานกิจการนิสิตได้มอบทุนการศึกษาให้กับนิสิตที่ได้รับการพิจารณาให้ได้รับทุนฯ และการจับฉลากแจกของขวัญปีใหม่ที่ได้รับการสนับสนุนจากคณะผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และพี่เจ้าหน้าที่ ให้กับนิสิตคณะพลังงานฯ ที่เข้าร่วมอีกด้วย บรรยากาศเต็มไปด้วยความสนุกสนานและเป็นกันเอง
