On December 15, 2025, the School of Energy and Environment (SEEN), University of Phayao, in collaboration with the Environmental Engineering Association of Thailand (EEAT), the Department of Local Administration, and Burapha University, organized a hands-on workshop entitled “Guidelines for Carbon Footprint Assessment for Local Administrative Organizations.” The workshop was held as part of the 37th Annual Environmental Technology Conference (EEAT ’68) at TK Palace & Convention Hotel, Bangkok.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Torpong Kreetachat, Dean of SEEN, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Anusorn Boonpoke and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nopparat Suriyachai, experts from SEEN, were honored to serve as keynote speakers. They delivered lectures providing fundamental knowledge on climate change and the concept of carbon footprint, result analysis, data verification, and approaches to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in local administrative organizations. The sessions also covered result reporting and the preparation of carbon footprint reports in accordance with the formats prescribed by the Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (TGO).

This initiative will enhance the knowledge and understanding of local administrative organizations and enable them to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. It strengthens their capacity to effectively manage and reduce their own greenhouse gas emissions and to progress toward becoming Low Carbon Cities. The academic conference was part of the celebrations marking the 16th anniversary of the University of Phayao, which aspires to serve as a pillar of the community in accordance with its guiding principle, “Wisdom for Community Empowerment.”

เมื่อวันที่ 15 ธ.ค.68 ที่ผ่านมา คณะพลังงานและสิ่งแวดล้อม (SEEN) มหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ร่วมกับ สมาคมวิศวกรรมสิ่งแวดล้อมแห่งประเทศไทย (สวสท.) กรมส่งเสริมการปกรองท้องถิ่น และมหาวิทยาลัยบูรพา จัดการอบรมเชิงปฏิบัติการ “แนวทางการประเมินคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์สำหรับองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น” ในงานประชุมวิชาการเทคโนโลยีสิ่งแวดล้อม ประจำปี ครั้งที่ 37 สวสท.’68 ณ รร. ทีเค.พาเลซ แอนด์ คอนเวนชั่น กรุงเทพฯ

รศ.ดร.ต่อพงศ์ กรีธาชาติ คณบดี พร้อมด้วย ผศ.ดร.อนุสรณ์ บุญปก และผศ.ดร.นพรัตน์ สุริยะไชย ผู้เชี่ยวชาญ จาก SEEN ได้รับเกียรติเป็นวิทยากรบรรยายให้ความรู้พื้นฐานด้านการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศและแนวคิดคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ การวิเคราะห์ผล การทวนสอบข้อมูล และแนวทางลดการปลดปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกในองค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น รวมถึง การรายงานผลและการจัดทำรายงานคาร์บอนฟุตพริ้นท์ตามแบบฟอร์มของ อบก.

ทั้งนี้ จะทำให้องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่น เกิดความรู้ความเข้าใจและสามารถนำองค์ความรู้ไปใช้ได้จริง เป็นการเสริมสร้างศักยภาพให้องค์กรปกครองส่วนท้องถิ่นสามารถบริหารจัดการลดการปล่อยก๊าซเรือนกระจกของตน อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และก้าวไปสู่การเป็นเมืองคาร์บอนต่ำ (Low Carbon City) โดยการประชุมวิชาการดังกล่าวฯ เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการร่วมฉลองในวาระครบ 16 ปีของมหาวิทยาลัยพะเยา ที่มุ่งหวังเป็นที่พึ่งของชุมชนตามปณิธาน “ปัญญาเพื่อความเข้มแข็งของชุมชน”
