Workshop on “Measurement of Forest Carbon Sequestration” Toward Sustainable Carbon Neutrality
On March 24, 2026, Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape, presided over the opening ceremony of the workshop on “Measurement of Forest Carbon Sequestration” at the Chuchart Kila-Paeng Meeting Room, Office of the President Building. The workshop was organized by The Center of Environment and Sustainable Management, University of Phayao, in collaboration with the School of Energy and Environment, University of Phayao.
On this occasion, Dr. Nittaya Chain from the Carbon and Greenhouse Gas Management Unit (CGM), King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, was honored as the guest speaker, delivering knowledge on carbon sequestration measurement in woody biomass.
This activity forms part of the implementation of the University of Phayao Strategic Development Plan (Fiscal Years 2025–2029), supporting sustainable development and reinforcing the University’s commitment to achieving carbon neutrality and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with national strategies on climate change mitigation.
