UP Organizes Training for Academic Staff to Enhance AI Application Skills in Modern Curriculum Development
    


On Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Associate Professor Dr. Supakorn Pongsabangpo, President of the University of Phayao, presided over the opening ceremony of a training program for academic staff on “Applying AI in the Development of University of Phayao Curricula.” The program aimed to enhance the capabilities and broaden the knowledge of academic personnel, enabling them to keep pace with the rapid changes of the digital era and meet the demands of society and the labor market in the future. The training was organized by the Division of Academic Services and held at the Active Learning Classroom at the University of Phayao.

A total of 127 academic staff members from various faculties participated in the program. The University of Phayao was honored to welcome Associate Professor Dr. Wattana Pathanakul, Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Khon Kaen University, as the guest speaker. He delivered lectures on “AI and Transformations in Education” and “Applying AI in Curriculum Development,” with a focus on helping participants understand the role of AI in creating innovative learning models. Additionally, he introduced techniques and tools that can be integrated into the curriculum development process to make it more modern and responsive to the needs of learners.

This program reflects the University of Phayao’s continued commitment to elevating the quality of education in alignment with rapidly evolving technologies and innovations, with the goal of producing graduates who possess the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to meet the needs of both society and the labor market in the years to come.
