On September 5, 2025, School of Engineering, University of Phayao, led by its executive team, program chairs, and School members, visited the Institute for Human Resource Development in Automation and Robotics (MARA), Rayong Province. The visit included a lecture on “Industry-Related Innovation and Training Programs for Curriculum Development” delivered by Mr. Somkiat U-ngoen, Director of the Institute. He shared valuable academic perspectives and first-hand industrial experience to support the advancement of engineering education.

This activity was part of the initiative “Building Networks for Cooperative Education and Curriculum Development” which aims to prepare graduates with the knowledge and skills that meet industry needs and contribute to the country’s future growth.

During the visit, discussions were held on developing cooperation with MARA’s training center to enhance and modernize curricula in engineering, ensuring alignment with 21st-century industrial trends. Such collaboration is expected to strengthen student learning by linking classroom knowledge with practical experience, while also equipping graduates with the competencies needed to succeed in both national and international arenas.

The initiative reflects an important step in creating sustainable partnerships that support innovation in education, industry responsiveness, and the overall mission of producing high-quality graduates for the future.
