Phayao, Thailand – The Department of Physiotherapy, School of Allied Health Sciences, University of Phayao, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ajchamon Thammachai, together with faculty members and physiotherapists, has been actively implementing the “Community Physiotherapy Engagement Project” in Mae Chai District, Phayao Province.
The initiative, conducted as part of the 381471 Community Physiotherapy 2 course, involves fourth-year physiotherapy students in a series of activities at Ban Sri Don Kaew, Mae Chai Subdistrict. The project aims to foster hands-on learning while addressing community health issues through collaboration with local health organizations and residents.
at Phase 1: Health Survey (July 25, 2025)
Students conducted comprehensive health problem surveys using seven community assessment tools. The data collected will guide analysis and planning for health interventions. The activity was supported by Mae Chai Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital, community leaders, village health volunteers, and the abbot of Wat Sri Don Kaew.
The project reflects the University of Phayao’s commitment to integrating academic learning with community service, strengthening both the professional development of students and the health resilience of local populations.
