School of Liberal Arts Reinforces the University’s Area-Based Mission through the UP CSV Project and Delivers Research-Based Language Learning Materials to Betty Dumen Border Patrol Police School

     On 23 February 2026, the School of Liberal Arts, University of Phayao, was assigned by the University to implement the UP Creating Shared Value (UP CSV) project in order to reinforce the University’s area-based engagement mission at Betty Dumen Border Patrol Police School, Pha Chang Noi Subdistrict, Pong District, Phayao Province. The delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Chittima Kaweera, Dean of the School of Liberal Arts; Assistant Professor Dr. Phitsinee Sathientharadol, Associate Dean for Administration; Dr. Chanapa Duangfai, Associate Dean for Special Affairs; Dr. Darinthorn Inthapthim; and Dr. Chansak Siengyen, lecturer in English and researcher. They were joined by School personnel Mr. Jaroon Chaibao, Mr. Kittipon Jaroenkuson, and Mr. Khetthaphat Phianching.

     The learning materials and computer equipment for information retrieval and language skill development were officially received by Police Lieutenant Colonel Mongkol Panya, Headmaster of Betty Dumen Border Patrol Police School, together with Police Senior Sergeant Major Taweewat Jamcharoenphrai and Ms. Thanarat Thaimai. On this occasion, the school also received audiobooks from the school to be further processed and organized into electronic documents.

     During the visit, the research team improved the school’s electronic document management system and delivered learning materials aimed at enhancing students’ proficiency in Thai, English, Chinese, Japanese, and French.
