The University of Phayao has been honored by the Anatomy Association of Thailand to serve as the main host of “The 49th International Conference of the Anatomy Association of Thailand (AAT 49)” in 2027, in collaboration with the Division of Anatomy, School of Medicine, Mae Fah Luang University. This achievement reflects the University’s growing strength in medical sciences, research excellence, and international academic collaboration.
The official handover ceremony took place during “The 48th International Conference of the Anatomy Association of Thailand (AAT 48),” held from 13–15 May 2026 at TSIX5 Phenomenal Hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi Province. The conference was organized by the Anatomy Association of Thailand together with the Department of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Srinakharinwirot University. The event welcomed researchers, specialists, and academics from various countries to exchange knowledge, research findings, and innovations in anatomy and medical sciences.
Professor Samur Thanoi, Ph.D.Vice President for Research and Innovation, along with Assistant Professor Surisak Prasarnpun, Ph.D.Dean, School of Medical Sciences, led faculty members and staff from the Division of Anatomy, University of Phayao, to participate in the conference. The delegation joined academic discussions, explored emerging developments in anatomy education and research, and prepared for the University’s role as the next conference host.
Being selected as the host of AAT 49 marks an important milestone for Thailand’s medical science community, particularly in the field of anatomy, which serves as a fundamental foundation for medical education and health research. The conference will provide an international platform for scholars, medical professionals, and researchers worldwide to exchange knowledge, technologies, and modern medical innovations.
