On September 7, 2026, the Division of Building and Facilities, University of Phayao, conducted a study visit to Vachirabenchathat Park (Rot Fai Park) in Bangkok. The delegation was led by Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape, and Mr. Jeerawat Manngan, Director of the Division, together with section heads and personnel from its Garden and Landscape Section and Safety and Security Section. The visit was held under the Division's Personnel Capacity Development Project for fiscal year 2026. Mr. Somsak Tiangnga, Head of Vachirabenchathat Park (Rot Fai Park) under the Green Space Management Division of the Bangkok Environment Department, welcomed the group and facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experience.
The Safety and Security Section studied approaches to public area safety management, covering area monitoring and patrol, risk prevention, incident reporting and situation assessment, assistance to park visitors, and coordination with relevant agencies, as well as approaches to organizing activity areas and accommodating large numbers of visitors.
The Garden and Landscape Section studied the concepts and principles of landscape and environmental design, area management and maintenance, and the collection and propagation of various flowering plants, ornamental plants, and perennial trees, as well as approaches to sustainable landscape development. This included field visits to relevant sites and an exchange of views on the management of Vachirabenchathat Park (Rot Fai Park).
This study visit enabled personnel of the Division of Building and Facilities to gain knowledge and ideas on public area safety as well as green space management, area maintenance, landscaping, and environmental care, which can serve as guidelines for improving the Division's operations to be more systematic and better suited to the university's context. It also supports the goal of maintaining an orderly, attractive, and safe environment within the university that effectively meets the needs of students, personnel, and other users.
