School of Education and Phayao Special Education Center Collaborated to Develop Teachers through AI for Enhanced Learning Management

On August 31, 2026, the School of Education, University of Phayao, in collaboration with the Phayao Provincial Special Education Center, organized a workshop on “Developing Innovative Learning Facilities through Artificial Intelligence (AI)” for teachers at the Phayao Provincial Special Education Center. The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the Dean of the School of Education, University of Phayao. The event was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Lamai Sihamat, Chair of the Doctor of Philosophy Program in Curriculum and Instruction and the Master of Education Program in Curriculum and Instruction, Assistant Professor Dr. Wannakorn Pornprasert, lecturer in Educational Measurement and Evaluation, and support staff. The workshop was held at the meeting room of the Phayao Provincial Special Education Center, Phayao Province.

The program featured practical training activities designed to strengthen the knowledge and essential skills required for learning management in the digital era. The workshop included a lecture and hands-on session on “Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Creative Work Development,” delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Lamai Sihamat and Assistant Professor Dr. Wannakorn Pornprasert. In addition, a training session on developing model teachers for inclusive education was provided for teachers working in schools implementing whole-school participatory inclusive education. The session was led by Professor Dr. Somkate Uttayotha and a team of experts who shared their knowledge and practical experiences. The project aimed to enhance teachers’ knowledge, capabilities, and skills in applying AI technology to support learning management, while promoting their capacity to create educational innovations and conduct research. It also sought to strengthen teachers’ competencies in inclusive education and prepare them to serve as model teachers or teacher leaders in effectively driving inclusive education practices within schools. Through collaboration between the School of Education and the Phayao Provincial Special Education Center, the project contributes to the development of teachers equipped with digital competencies, innovative thinking, and inclusive education expertise. It reflects the University of Phayao’s commitment to strengthening educational partnerships and promoting equitable and high-quality learning opportunities for all learners. The initiative is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
