On 9 August 2026, the School of Education, University of Phayao, organized the 2026 Student Sports and Relationship-Building Competition under the Student Council Activities Project. The event was held at Sanguan Sermsi Building, University of Phayao. The opening ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the Dean of the School of Education, along with Ms. Methika Lertpathama, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Lifelong Learning Promotion, Assistant Professor Dr. Natthawut Subphaso, Associate Dean for Student Quality Development and Professional Experience; faculty members, staff, members of the Student Council, and students from all academic years of the School of Education. The activity aimed to promote students' awareness of the importance of physical exercise and maintaining both physical and mental well-being. It also sought to foster unity and positive relationships among faculty members, staff, and students, while cultivating desirable qualities through sports, including sportsmanship, respect for rules, teamwork, and the ability to accept both victory and defeat with understanding and respect. Through participation in the competition, students were encouraged to develop interpersonal and collaborative skills that can contribute to their personal growth in learning, daily life, and working effectively with others in society. The activity also supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being, Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
