On  July 14, 2026 the School of Education, University of Phayao, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Kasidit Meephrom, Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Area-Based Academic Services, together with Mr. Wittawat Thiwai, Head of the Planning Division, Ms. Suneerat Srithon, General Administration Officer, and Ms. Chutimadee Chaibao, Academic Officer, organized the Community Well-being Promotion Project for People of All Ages through a workshop on Developing Local Curricula to Strengthen and Preserve Community Wisdom. The activity was held at the Dok Khamtai Cultural and Local Wisdom Learning Center, Phayao Province.

The workshop was honored by the participation of Assistant Professor Nithit Wanichboon, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Educational Innovation, Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts, University of Phayao, who conducted a hands-on workshop on "Product Design and Development: Creating Dok Khamtai Flower Trees from Recycled Materials." In addition, Assistant Professor Dr. Apinyaporn Sopa, Lecturer in Business Management, Faculty of Business Administration and Communication Arts, University of Phayao, delivered a practical workshop entitled "Marketing and Sales." The project aimed to promote community-based learning through the development of local curricula that reflect the unique identity and cultural wisdom of the community. It also sought to enhance participants' knowledge of product design and value-added development using locally available resources and recycled materials, with particular emphasis on the creation of the "Dok Khamtai Flower Tree," a distinctive cultural symbol and traditional craft of Dok Khamtai District. Furthermore, the training strengthened participants' knowledge of marketing strategies and sales channels, enabling community members to increase the economic value of local products, generate sustainable income, and preserve valuable local wisdom for future generations. The project reflects the School of Education's commitment to promoting lifelong learning, community engagement, and sustainable local development through academic services that integrate education, innovation, and cultural preservation. Furthermore, the activity supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Goal 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities.
