School of Education Conducts Expert Development Program on Educational Policy and Future Skills

On July 20–23, 2026, Associate Professor Dr. Ruksit Suttipong, the Dean of the School of Education, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Kasidit Meephrom, Associate Dean for Research, Innovation, and Area-Based Academic Services, Mr. Wittawat Thiwai, Head of the Planning Division, Ms. Suneerat Srithon, General Administration Officer, and Ms. Chutimadee Chaibao, Academic Officer, participated in Module 2 of the Expert Development Program on Educational Policy Impact Assessment and Future Skills through Data Analytics. The program was organized under the initiative of the Ministry of Education and held at the Chiang Rai Campus of the University of Phayao and the College of Management, Bangkok. A total of 20 personnel from the Ministry of Education, who are responsible for implementing strategic national development projects, took part in the program.

The program was designed to strengthen the digital technology and innovation competencies of Ministry of Education personnel engaged in advancing the National Strategy on Creating Opportunities and Social Equity. It focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and practical skills to apply Data Analytics and Data Science techniques in evaluating the impact of educational policies and forecasting future workforce skills. In addition, the program promoted study visits and knowledge exchange with model organizations specializing in digital technology and innovation while fostering collaborative networks among public and private sector organizations. These partnerships aim to integrate educational data and formulate evidence-based policy recommendations that contribute to reducing educational disparities and promoting sustainable educational equity. The implementation of this program reflects the guiding philosophy of the University of Phayao, "Wisdom for Community Empowerment," as well as its vision of becoming "a university that creates community wisdom and innovation for sustainable international development." Furthermore, the initiative supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities, and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals.
