The Bachelor of Engineering Program in Industrial Engineering School of Engineering University of Phayao, led by Lecturer Athikom Boonsue, Program Chair, together with faculty members and laboratory instructors, organized the “Annual Merit-Making Ceremony of the Industrial Engineering Program for Academic Year 2026” on 10 September 2026 at the Industrial Engineering Laboratory Building, University of Phayao.
The ceremony featured a Buddhist merit-making ritual for auspiciousness, with five Buddhist monks invited to perform Buddhist chants, followed by the offering of lunch and religious offerings to the monks. The activity provided an opportunity for faculty members, staff, and students to participate collectively in preserving and carrying forward Thailand’s valued cultural traditions. It also promoted the application of moral and ethical principles to everyday life and harmonious coexistence within society.
In addition, participants took part in a volunteer community service activity to improve the surrounding area of the Industrial Engineering Laboratory Building. The activity focused on maintaining and enhancing the environment to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and a conducive setting for learning and professional practice.
The activity reflected the program’s commitment to fostering public-mindedness, social responsibility, and constructive collaboration, while strengthening relationships and a sense of belonging among faculty members, staff, and students within the Industrial Engineering Program.
