Associate Professor Supakorn  Pongbangpho, Ph.D.President, University of Phayao, assigned Associate Professor Acharaporn  Duangjai, Ph.D. Assistant to the President, to attend the “2026 GCHERA World Agriculture Prize Award Ceremony, CIAERA & Asia Hub Annual Meetings” from 27–29 October 2026 at Nanjing Agricultural University in Nanjing, China. The event brought together international academic institutions to exchange knowledge and promote collaboration in education, agricultural research, and innovation.

A key achievement of the meeting was the University of Phayao’s admission as a new member of the Consortium for Innovations in Agricultural Education and Research in Asia (CIAERA). The university also received a membership plaque in recognition of this milestone. The meeting focused on “Ecosystem Resilience,” addressing key challenges related to food security, water resources, energy, and education.

Membership in CIAERA provides new opportunities for the University of Phayao to strengthen international research partnerships, exchange knowledge and expertise, and develop joint research projects with leading institutions across Asia. This collaboration supports the university’s internationalization goals and its commitment to advancing research and innovation that benefit communities and contribute to sustainable development, in line with its Societal Well-Being mission.
