PHAYAO – On September 1, 2025, the School of Science, University of Phayao, proudly participated in the UP Innovation's Day 2025 event. The school presented a remarkable innovation focused on enhancing and promoting native honeybee farming.

Representing the School, Asst. Prof. Dr. Tipwan Suppasat led a team of lecturers and staff in showcasing new technologies and equipment designed to boost the efficiency of native beekeeping. Their display featured a wide array of products derived from native honeybees, including beekeeping boxes, honey, honey-fermented kaffir limes, beeswax food wraps, beeswax lip balms, and beeswax candles. The exhibit attracted significant interest from event attendees.

This innovative project underscores the School of Science's commitment to translating research into tangible societal benefits. The work aligns directly with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), primarily focusing on SDG 15 (Life on Land), while also supporting SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure). The project helps create jobs, generate income, and foster sustainable economic growth within local communities.
