The Division of Buildings and Facilities, University of Phayao, has conducted on-site operations to dredge and clear soil, rocks, sand, grass clippings, branches, and various debris that had accumulated and blocked drainage pipes, gutters, water channels, and waterlogged spots along the internal roads of the university during the rainy season.
The operations covered the entire university campus in preparation for continuous rainfall during the rainy season, which typically causes mud, sediment, grass clippings, branches, and natural debris to accumulate in the drainage system, leading to slower water drainage and potential flooding on roads and pathways. Clearance work was carried out to open waterways and dredge blockages from drainage pipes and gutters, alongside ongoing inspections of at risk areas and continuous monitoring of sediment buildup, with the aim of improving drainage efficiency, preventing water accumulation on road surfaces, and enhancing safety for all road users within the university.
The Division of Buildings and Facilities, University of Phayao, continues to operate on all fronts in preparation for heavy rainfall situations, with the aim of ensuring safety and supporting a campus environment that is safe and convenient for all users.
