On September 22, 2026, the Division of Building and Facilities at the University of Phayao conducted a comprehensive on-site survey and inspection of the electrical lighting systems and illumination points across various areas of the university. The survey was led by Assistant Professor Suwit Panyawong, Vice President for Environment and Landscape; Mr. Nattawut Somyarone, Assistant to the President; Mr. Jeerawat Manngan, Director of the Division; and Mr. Thanawit Sridoungkham, Head of Utilities and Facilities, together with the Division's electrical engineering team.

The survey covered academic buildings, connecting walkways between buildings, pedestrian paths, and traffic routes, as well as risk areas and blind spots. Its purpose was to assess the current condition of the lighting systems and gather data for planning improvements, upgrades, and repairs to damaged points. The team also identified locations that require additional lighting installations to ensure sufficient and appropriate brightness levels.

This initiative aims to increase lighting efficiency during nighttime hours, helping to reduce the risk of accidents and hazards in these areas. It also supports the university's readiness to accommodate its activities and enhances the safety of life and property for the university community and all area users. Ultimately, this effort ensures that everyone can use the spaces within the university conveniently, confidently, and safely at all times.
